Jessica was such a lucky find. Found her through a Google search while looking for an engagement photographer in the Buffalo area. We loved her work so much that she became one of the reasons we decided to host our wedding in Buffalo. She is so organized and on the ball. She is full of energy and flexible. Our family and friends enjoyed interacting with her throughout our wedding events. Can’t take our eyes off our wedding pictures. I think Jessica is going to be our family photographer for all upcoming life events:) Thanks Jessica!

Jessica is awesome! I found her through a friend whose pictures I thought were amazing- her style and talent caught my eye before I was even engaged. Jessica is naturally an artist at her craft. She is personable, funny, easy to talk to, and FUN! Before our engagement session I was nervous about how it would all go. There is so much pressure to look beautiful and one chance to capture that moment. Jessica kept the whole session moving and the end result was amazing photos that will be a part of our lives forever! The wedding day she was there like the perfect accessory- really able to capture the day and how important every last detail was. I I think the photos are one of the most important parts of the wedding, and it is imperative and worth it to hire someone with experience and a talented artistic ability. I would recommended her to anyone!!

Jessica did a fantastic shooting our engagement and wedding photos. She had great ideas in terms of locations to go for photographs. I have gotten so many compliments on my pictures! I would highly recommend her.

Jessica is the absolute best to work with. She was very laid back and willing to listen to what we wanted for our wedding photographs, but still was able to make sure that we stayed on time and got all of the photos we asked for. The day of our wedding was a downpour and while I was so worried that this would ruin a lot of our photo opportunities, Jessica kept reassuring me that there were a ton of great locations right inside our venue. She made me feel so at ease that I totally forgot about the rain outside! On top of being fun to work with, her rates are really reasonable for the quality of work that she does – with her talent, she could definitely charge a lot more than she does. Overall, we loved everything about working with Jessica!

Jessica and Paul were incredible! They were on time and professional and were able to take any stress out of the day! She made sure that we met before the wedding to go over any specific photos we wanted, location shoots and discussed important people or groups that we wanted pictures of. This made day of shooting incredibly easy and stress free and I was extra confident that all of our photos would be beyond perfect! She was awesome!!

Jessica was a great photographer, she is not the type of photographer that wants to keep you from enjoying your wedding, her and Paul are capturing great moments from the side lines- but don’t worry they get those other awesome pictures too!!! Jessica was amazing to work with from the very beginning. We love our engagement photos and have used them in various albums, for our Save the Date and for our guest book. Our wedding photos were even more beautiful than we could’ve ever imagined. She was so easy to work with and was open to any suggestions we had. I love her style and creativity. We have gotten to many compliments on all of our photos from family and friends! I would highly recommend her!

We searched high and low for a photographic style like Jessica’s that would be within our price range and I’m so happy that we found her. Not only did I find exactly what I was looking for – a fantastic photographer with a unique eye – but she’s also the sweetest person. She was extremely professional, communicative, and efficient, yet relaxed and fun to be around. It’s a little awkward to be in public places being photographed by a complete stranger, but because of her ample experience she was so understanding of this and calmed our nerves fast. My shy husband left saying “wow, that was actually fun”. She made some adjustments and worked within our budget, and traveled to us despite our very limiting schedule for both our engagement photos and wedding for a VERY reasonable price. Also, we had to switch the date of our wedding after we had already locked it in with her and she was so accommodating and made it work. The photographs are so beautiful, unique, and capture the pure joy of our day so perfectly. We are beyond grateful we got to have Jessica as our photographer.

We really enjoyed Jessica and Paul as people and they were excellent photographers. Jessica has the ability to instruct her subjects on where and how to stand to create great photos. She has a great sense of humor that she uses in her work that allowed us to enjoy the process of getting your picture taken for a long period of time. We are very pleased with the number, quality, and the way our wedding was captured. On top of great photos she is very affordable. Would not have gone with anyone else and would highly recommend her.

We had very limited time to get as many shots as possible but she was amazing with getting everyone together. Pictures turned out great and very pleased! I don’t like a lot of posed shots and she captured every moment

We felt like we hit the jackpot with Jessica. Our first meeting with her was very casual in a coffee shop and we liked her right away. She was down to earth and genuine. When she showed us her work, we were taken aback. We particularly liked that she showed us her edited and un-edited photos. Her un-edited photos were beautiful on its own which speaks volumes to her photography skills. We had our engagement pictures done beforehand. She was very fun to work with and didn’t make us feel awkward. The turnover time for the photos was very speedy. We were so pleased with the pictures and incorporated it into our wedding here and there. Our family and friends were ranted and raved over them. Then the wedding day. Jessica and Paul were great. We were very specific that we did not want our wedding photographers to get in the way of the wedding. We have seen enough weddings where photographers commandeered the whole event and we stressed that to Jessica in our ver first meeting. They were barely noticeable! And yet that did not compromise our photographs at all, They were exceptional and when we got a sneak preview of them on Facebook during our honey, we were very excited to see the rest. We got them when we came back from our 2-week honeymoon. Again we were impressed with some of the breathtaking photos and the speed (We’ve had friends wait up to almost a year to see their photos!). I also wanted to add that not only Jessica was very professional, she was also very flexible. When we had met with her, we had not yet chosen a definitive wedding date and we ended up changing the wedding date 3 times and the engagement date shoot twice on her and she was very patient and accommodating with her. Jessica Ahrens photographer is THE wedding photography service to use in the Buffalo area. We cannot stress how great she is and look forward to working with her in the future some family portraits!

I can’t stop looking at my wedding photos. Do I really look this beautiful? Was I that happy? I was married on 12/8/2012 and Jessica and Paul did our Photography. They were brilliant. I wanted something different than cookie cutter photos and that is what I got. They took all the standard photos and they are beautiful but they caught these lost glaces. They got my now husband looking and me or my mom laughing. They got the ring bearer running up and down the aisle. They used different lenses. They used odd angles. I have never looked so good in my life. At one point it was 30 degrees, and wet at Buffalo City hall and Jessica was laying on the concrete taking pictures of us. She was coming up with ideas and places. The were with us for 11 hours and got 1000 pictures. They fit with my family and friends. My wedding was on 12/8 and I had my pictures on 12/19. Oh and I forgot. I had this huge stain on my dress b/c I am not graceful and you don’t see it in ANY picture. Wonderful team!

Compared to Philly and NYC prices for equivalently talented photographers, their prices are so, so reasonable and they were absolutely worth every penny and more. Everyone who has seen our engagement and wedding photos has said “Wow! Your photographer is amazing!” before they even compliment me or my now-husband 😉 And they’re right! Jessica is very talented and makes you feel very much at ease, even if you’re awkward in front of the camera like me. We never second guessed hiring her as an out-of-town photographer, and would do in again in a heartbeat.
